Run as a team | Create a team to compete in the XC Cup Challenge

Team XC Cup Challenge

Create a team or join a team to compete with friends, neighbors or colleagues. Running as a team allows you to compete both as an individual and as a team in the 5K Race.

Teams require a minimum of 5 people

(you can have as many team members as you would like).

How it works:

Runners are awarded points equal to the place of their finish.

We add the points of the first 5 runners to cross the finish line for each team.

Teams with the lowest total points win.

First place teams are awarded the TEAM XC CUP in the men’s, women’s and
coed categories.

NOTE:

Each team needs a team captain to create the team. Once the team has been created, other team members can register. Team captains are encouraged to create a user name and password upon registration to access team admin page.

Community Cup Event

The Community Cup event will be the same as last year for the 5K Race.

We will tally scores of all runners based on the communities they live in (info from registration). Teams are automatically comprised of the top 5 finishers from each town. Teams with the lowest score in both men’s and women’s races are the winners.

You do not have to register for this competition, teams are generated automatically from the race results. You can find last year’s community cup winners on our results page.

Consider getting friends to sponsor your team.

Each team has the option of setting up a sponsor page to help raise contributions for the Memorial Fund. You can direct friends and family that would like to sponsor your team to your team page. It’s quick. It’s easy. And it’s very helpful.
