Comments by Coach Joe Colbert

Jenna Norton is the epitome of the term “student-athlete.” She is the valedictorian of the Triton Regional High School class of 2011 and this fall will begin her collegiate experience at Brown University in Rhode Island. Her academic achievements speak for themselves, and Jenna is an outstanding leader, chosen by her peers as captain for three separate seasons: soccer, indoor track, and outdoor track. She has competed on Triton’s 4X800 relay team at the Cape Ann League and State Championships in each of the past two years. She is also an outstanding javelin thrower who has qualified for the CAL championship meet in each of her four seasons of spring track and field. Gabe Pacione was and outstanding student, athlete, and role model, and Triton has no finer candidate for the scholarship in his name than Jenna Norton. She would be a worthy recipient of this honor who would continue to carry on the example Gabe set.

Next year, Jenna will take her academic and athletic talents to Brown University, competing in throwing and mid-distance events.
