Comments by Coach Ryan Spinney

Mark is by far one of the hardest working and toughest athletes I have ever had the privilege to coach. He is the true definition of a leader and is greatly admired by all who are fortunate enough to know him.

Mark is a member of the National Honor Society, volunteers in the community and was voted by his classmates as, “The Nicest” in their Senior class. Mark truly is well respected for his friendly demeanor, positive outlook on life and his ability to help others reach their maximum potential.

A three sport captain in Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track, Mark is also the North Reading School record holder on our Cross Country Course (2.7 mile at Harold Parker State Forest) with a time of 14:35, and he also holds the school record for the 2 Mile in indoor track in a time of 9:54.18.

Next year, Mark will be attending the University of Rochester, running distance events and studying engineering.
